Christy & Brian | Hillside Lodges Wedding in Golden
Christy & Brian met each other at work and became fast good friends while working in a facility that helps high risk youth. Brian tried to win Christy over in the beginning and eventually their friendship grew in to a deep admiration for one another and then in to a secret relationship. Brian, a school teacher, and Christy a recent Psychology grad, managed to keep their "hall-ationship" a secret for a solid 8 months until finally revealing their relationship to management. Early on they both shared a love for travel and adventure and ended up on a 4 month trip in Asia.
Then, while hiking in Sulfur Springs, Brian had an engagement ring loose in his pocket. He brought a picnic and they settled on to the top of the hill when he asked, 'do you want to get married?' He got down on one knee. Where then Christy replied, 'what are you doing?' As he pulled out the ring she said- 'is that real?' haha! Of course she ended up saying yes. Afterwards they drove to Christy's parents house to celebrate and began to plan their wedding that they would have in Golden, BC.
They day of their wedding was insanely beautiful! The sun was high and warm, friends and family traveled from all over to celebrate their union in the mountains. It was the perfect back-drop for this adventurous, light-hearted, and silly couple to exchange their vows and become husband and wife. Oh- and they also had a customized SHOT-SKI! It was amazing! It was fun, laid-back, and a complete riot.
Congratulations you two! So excited for you on this new journey and have SO much fun traveling for the next few months! Keep blazing new trails and being each others favourite travel-buddy. xo
