Dote Magazine Spring/Summer Issue 2016

Another issue of Dote Magazine has hit the stands and I am over-the-moon! It is always such an honour to work alongside such amazing creatives, rubbing shoulders with local contributors that I admire.

What you may not know is the team behind Dote. The ladies who put everything in to this are some of my favourite people to work with. They are the perfect blend of creative direction and creative freedom. They start with a vision and allow their contributors to play and do what they do best. I really believe that this creates the magic behind dote; vision + trust.

This issue I got to photograph one of my favourite spaces The Simmons Building. It is a piece of history in East Village. I had already photographed it once with Mckinley Burkart who designed the space but then approached it with a different angle, taking in detail pieces instead of lifestyle story pieces to create the perfect template of colour, texture, and engagement.

Here is the cover selection, perfectly styled by AJ, head stylist for Dote, you may recognize her from pink & honey! That gorgeous Bag is from Free People and the accessories you see are from Anthropology.

Some of my favourite shots! You will notice the tones are a little different as I photographed the space twice; once in winter and once in spring/summer of 2015.
