Winter wonderland ❄️ These two had their first look along the river in Saskatoon in -27 weather. Off camera you would see Landon (my second shooter and husband) holding a big blanket, their jackets, and their gloves so that once they made their way to me we could wrap them up in warmth. ❄️ Lucky to have clients who would do anything to preserve their memories with memorable places even when it’s freezing out! This first look was so beautiful with all of the hoar frost, winter white, and warm tears of joy. #jamieanholtweddings

I was listening to a podcast (surprise, surprise) and it was asking a couple when do they usually show up as their best selves. For me, it’s when I’m traveling! ✨ Growing up, watching Amazing Race, I thought couples just drive each other crazy while traveling and honestly I remember being so nervous for the day when Landon and I would do our first trip together. ✨ Well Amazing Race, I guess you won’t be getting my audition tape because Landon and I are a dream-team while we travel. I’m more light-hearted and easy-going while traveling. I’m way more of a stress case, type A, fixated on fixing problems while I am home. I’m in the moment, easier to smile, easier to just change plans on a whim when I’m in a new place. I loooove “travel Jamie” and I really wish she would stick around more when we are at home. Im really trying to let her out more and I’ll be super intentional as we come home from this next big trip we are taking, and not stuffing her back in, wherever she goes haha. ✨ When do you show up as your best self?

Seeing your pals become parents is pretty cool. 💕 ps. It’s this gals birthday! So grateful and blessed we became friends. I simply adore you Linds. Happy birthday @elle.peters !!!

I mean... if I had a kitchen like this maybe I would cook more... 💕 who am I kidding? Haha Landon is basically a chef and drinking wine and doing dishes are much more appealing to me haha. But I could totally drink wine and do dishes here! 😍💕 design: @elle.peters

What I love about these two is that they truly balance one another. Braden, gets swept away in the moment with emotion and Lisa, holds tight and grounds. You could see it through-out the entire wedding day but my favourite was when they had their first look. ✨ Braden was overcome with emotion, he was waiting so long to see Lisa, he was so excited to finally marry his dream girl, and in that moment she just held on to him. She closed her eyes, she got really still, and took deep breaths. They took their moment, together. Let me remind you how cold it was... -25 and she didn’t even have a jacket on. ✨ Witnessing that was so beautiful. During the ceremony she would hold on to his hand and look at him with such steadiness. I loved every second of it. We all need that sometimes don’t we? Someone to hold our hand, to take long breaths with, to be still with. Landon is that for me, so seeing Lisa be that for Braden was so beautiful and I will always treasure witnessing it. ✨ #lisatookaschmidt

Mr & Mrs Schmidt ✨ Yesterday was the definitely the coldest wedding I have ever photographed! Lisa and Braden (and their amazing bridal party!) were such troopers to brave the freezing cold weather, all the while making it look so effortless. ✨ Lucky for them they will be defrosting as husband and wife in the Bahamas today!! Take me with you!? 🥶😂 #lisatookaschmidt
